Montreuil (Paris) Guide

Guide

Montreuil is one of Paris's most populated suburbs and is located just four miles east from the city centre of Paris. The suburb is located close to the 'Bois de Vincennes Park'. Although the city centre of Paris is easily accessible by metro, exploring the suburbs and the outlying areas is easier by car.

Explore Montreuil

There are many interesting sights to see close to Paris. If you are travelling with family or are young at heart, you can easily get to Disneyland Paris by car, which is only a short half hour drive along the A4.

Other tourist attractions close to Paris include the beautiful 'Versailles Palace'. You can also explore the lovely Balbi Park, Eau des Suisses Square, the Grand Canal and St Louis Cathedral.

A little further from Montreuil but easily accessible by car is the picturesque medieval city of Provins, now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Miniature France, a park with over 150 models of famous landmarks in France is also close by.

For a full daytrip from Montreuil, you can take a drive to the coast of Normandy or Brittany in northern France. The journey times takes between two to three hours, unless you decide to drive to France from the UK in which case you can make a slight detour on your journey home.

Transport

Paris has an excellent network of trains, buses, and taxis which makes getting around the city simple and efficiently. If you are considering driving out of Paris and into the countryside then car hire will be your best bet. There are limited bus services operating from Paris to surrounding towns and villages. You may find yourself waiting hours for a bus to pass, and taxis will be far too expensive.

To book car hire for the duration of your stay in Montreuil all you need to do is fill in the search form above and let us do the rest by comparing over fifty rental suppliers to find you the best deal. We also supply some optional extras to help improve your rental experience, such as child booster seats and GPS.

Charles De Gaulle Airport is located only 25 minutes north of Montreuil. If this is your arrival destination then arrange to collect your hire car from here. Car rental suppliers are available at the airport but prices will vary considerably and their selection of cars is limited.

What most people want to know

The following questions and answers are a selection of the most popular questions. If you do not find the answer to your question, have a look at the Frequently Asked Questions page or contact us.

Is Carrentals.co.uk the cheapest?

Yes, we offer a guarantee of the lowest price - because we compare various retailers, we can always offer you the best price in town.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

What is a worry-free label?

Only rental companies with a high level of customer satisfaction are eligible to be included in our Worry-Free selection. This rate includes excess cover and unlimited kilometres. Your vehicle will be provided and must be returned with a full tank of fuel. With a vehicle from our Worry-Free selection, you can travel with peace of mind and no hidden costs.

How can I change or cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).

When will I get a confirmation of my booking?
