Driving across Spain without a map can be a stressful experience, especially in areas where one-way or no left-turn roads are commonplace. Malaga Airport is easy to access as it is connected to key roads in the area. Drivers travelling from Marbella or other destinations to the west can use the AP-7, while the A-46 connects with the north. The E-902 links with towns and cities to the east. Buses, taxis and trains are the other options for those without their own vehicle.
T3 has its own train station which connects Malaga Airport to Malaga city centre and popular destinations around the Costa del Sol, such as Torremolinos, Benalmadena and Fuengirola. Trains run every half an hour from 07:00 until 00:00 and fares cost around £1 per person but vary depending on the time of day. The service is provided by Malaga Cercanias.
Taxis at the airport leave from outside T3's Arrivals area. Official taxis have an orange sign on their roof and either a meter or a book full of set fares to key destinations around the area.

Airport buses run between Malaga Airport and Malaga bus station. They cost around £7 per person and take around 45 minutes. Budget-conscious travellers can cut costs by opting to take the bus into Malaga and then a taxi, especially if travelling to destinations such as Puerto Banus.
Malaga Airport has three terminals that are all easy to travel between given their position adjacent to one another. Each year, around 12.5 million passengers use Malaga Airport to access destinations around the Costa del Sol and southern Spain.
Malaga Airport has four parking areas: P1 and P7 general public car parks, P3 for long stays and VIP parking. Parking is supplied by Empark. Typical rates stand at around £5 per day.
Wi-Fi at Malaga Airport is supplied by MOVISTAR and registration before surfing is required. Accessing the internet for one hour costs about £5, while 24 hours of access costs about £10. Those that require 30 days’ access must pay around £70.

Malaga Airport is easily accessible to all passengers, including those with reduced mobility. All airlines that operate here have agreements with the hub to ensure that any required equipment, such as crutches or wheelchairs, will be supplied if requested prior to travel.

Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 have the largest amount of restaurants and bars. Across these terminals, big chains such as Burger King and Upper Crust can be found, alongside popular cafés, including Starbucks. Four Arrows in Terminal 3 is a popular bar for alcoholic drinks.
Money and ATMs
Airport Change operates currency exchange services across Terminal 3. ATMs from numerous Spanish banks can be found in all terminals.
Terminal 3 has the majority of shops and is where big names such as Adidas (Floor 1) and Lacoste (Floor 1) can be found. Terminal 2 is the location of further stores, while Terminal 3 has Aldeasa-run duty-free outlets (Floor 1, Departures) where perfume, alcohol and tobacco can be purchased. Two Prensa outlets sell reading material.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?
To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
