Transport Options

Capital Regional Airport serves Lansing and is fairly small, receiving predominately domestic flights. Amtrak trains that leave Chicago stop in cities throughout the state, and ferries come in from Wisconsin and Ontario, Canada. In the rest of the state visitors can expect the winter month of January to get as cold as -10°C, while in July the temperature can rise to 28°C. April and May experience severe thunderstorms and are best avoided.
