The town of Kenilworth is found the county of Warwickshire, about 10 miles south of Coventry. It is very much a picture-postcard type place with small back streets old churches and a castle on the edge of town. It dates back to around 11th century and the remains of a medieval monastery are close by.

Apart from the historic town's old charm it is also close to the cities of Coventry and Birmingham which offer a modern area with shopping malls, motorways and lots to do. Both will take less than 25 minutes to reach in a car rental at Kenilworth.

The area around is great for exploring in cheap car hire at Kenilworth from the old Fosse way that crosses the county and offers excellent walking opportunities to the many parks and lakes close by. The Cotswolds are also a short drive away and make an excellent day out.

Inside the town there are many sites to see like Kenilworth Castle that was built around the 12th century and near is where Sir Walter Raleigh is thought to have planted the first potato in England that he brought back from South America. Stoneleigh Park is another impressive building you do not want miss.
