Crowne Plaza Hotel is located in the capital city Managua, Nicaragua. Managua is located on the southwestern shores of Lake Managua. The city was founded in 1819 and has become the political, cultural, commercial, and economic center of Nicaragua. Managua is now home to more than one and half million people, mostly Spanish-speaking people. Even with all of those people, Managua has been the first capital city in Central America to have rid itself of illiteracy.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel is a beautifully shaped hotel that serves as an architectural icon in the city. It is pyramid shaped, with nine floors. In 2005 the hotel went through a complete interior remodel. The Crowne Plaza Hotel is located near a shopping mall, convention center, and also near the historic center of the city.

The hotel has three restaurants on site. There is the casual Los Continentes, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can experience authentic Japanese dishes at the Royal Tepanyaki, which is open for lunch and dinner. The third one, Ming Court, offers Cantonese cuisine. There is also the La Cita bar that is open from 1pm to midnight, and usually offers live entertainment.

The hotel also has two meetings and is in close proximity to the convention center. Both of them offer an accommodation of 2,000 people for business or social functions.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel also offers other amenities such as a pool with an on-duty lifeguard, a casino, and a fitness center that includes a sauna. Pets are even allowed in this hotel to make your stay more like home and a car hire will open all the surrounding possibilities to those who stay here.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).
