Airport Facilities

There is one passenger terminal which deals with all flights. Essential facilities include a post office, bureau de change and two cash dispensers, located both in and outside the Arrivals hall.

The terminal offers an array of shops and eateries, including: bars, restaurants, and cafes, a newsagents and duty free to pick up those last bits. There is also a travel agent, a tourist help desk, first-aid and a baby/parent room.

Eight conference rooms of various sizes with space for up to 200 participants are available in the Mövenpick Conference Centre. The airline Lufthansa has many facilities on offer to its passengers, including suitable lounges each with computer stations and internet access for its status customers and passengers with a first-class ticket.

Disabled facilities include: adapted toilets and telephones, as well as wheelchair accessible lifts. Special parking lots are available for disabled passengers in the multi-story car park.

Six thousand electronically guided parking spaces are available in the multi-storey car parks which are located outside of the terminal buildings (1 & 2). Short term parking lots can be found at the airport square. Valet parking is also available.

The information counter is located on the ground floor directly beside the Noris Sky Lounge.

Transport

By air
Nuremberg Airport is located five kilometres to the north of its city in the region of Bayern in central, southeast Germany. Several major autobahns approach the airport from all directions and it is well serviced by subway and bus.

By train
The main rail station and the city centre are connected to the airport by the U2 subway line in only 12 minutes. The journey to the exhibition centre takes 25 minutes, with a change at the main rail station from the U2 line to the U1 line to Langwasser.

By bus
The airport is connected to the Nuremberg bus network as well as the subway network. Buses numbers 32 (from Thon terminal) and 33 (from Nürnberg-Buch) run to the airport.

By car
By car, the A9 (Berlin–Munich) autobahn runs north-south and is connected to the airport via the A3. The A6 runs east-west to the south of the airport and is connected via the A9 and A3; while the A3 runs in from Frankfurt.
