Malmo Sturup International Airport is situated 27kms east of Malmo and 25kms south of Lund. It has a fairly large passenger turnover, estimated at four million annually. There is only one passenger terminal to deal with incoming and outgoing, international and domestic flights. The terminal is equipped with 15 checking in desks and 11 gates. Airlines serving the airport are: Falcon, Malmö Aviation, Ryanair, SAS-Scandinavian, Skyways AB, Sterling and TNTA.
Malmo Airport has sufficient facilities such as the bureau de change, post office, pharmacy, first aid centre, VIP lounge, baby/parent room, business centre and disabled access and facilities. There are several bars, restaurants and cafe's, also including a duty-free shop, newsagents, and a lovely gift shop. There are also two airport hotels; including the Sturup Airport Hotel located directly outside of the airport.
Hourly parking at the airport’s parking lot costs SEK15. Twenty-four hour parking is also available, rates for this vary between SEK80 and 120, depending on location. Parking spaces for the disabled are available free of charge for periods of under 24 hours, however, the disability marker must be clearly available on the car windscreen.
Car rentals
Car hire at Malmo Airport is available with us, or it can be purchased on your arrival, although we highly advise you to make a booking online before you travel as prices are far cheaper than at the airport, plus you will save time not having to queue when you arrive at the airport. Car keys can be collected from either of the suppliers desks in the arrivals hall at the airport. Look out for Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Mabi and Sixt rental desks.
By bus
The Flygbussarna bus service connects the airport with Malmo central train station, and with Malmo and Lund city centres. It also connects the airport with Copenhagen. All these journeys take about 45 minutes and cost approximately €15 (SEK120) for a one-way fare.
By taxi
Taxis are also available from outside the airport building, but are much more expensive, costing about SEK400 one way. Always confirm the price of the journey before getting into your taxi.
