Bozeman city, named after the man who discovered the Bozeman Tail, John M. Bozeman,  was named in 2001, an All-American City. Montana State University is also found here, as well as the school's Museum of the Rockies was made famous by the palaeontologist Jack Horner.

Bozeman saw their first federal building in 1915, which included the post office for the area. The building was once a film location for the Robert Redford movie 'A River Runs Through it'. The building is now occupied by HRDC, one of the community organizations.

For visitors the 'Big Sky Ski Resort' is the place to be. The locals of the community prefer to do their skiing at the 'Bridger Bowl Ski Area'. Residents and visitors are initially attracted by the fact that the town has made an appearance in more than one Hollywood film, but there are also those that come for the recreational activities that are available in the city.
