Bentonville Airport Guide

Bentonville, Arkansas has become a booming location for business. It is home to the corporate offices of major business's like Wal-Mart. The area airport Northwest Arkansas Regional airport, also known as XNA was opened in 1998. This was one of the first new airports opened in 25 years of United States history. When it was opened it allowed more business to easily access the Northwestern part of Arkansas.

This is not an extremely large airport, but it does have six major United States air carriers flying to and from this airport. It has flights going to most major United States cities. This airport has flights going to Charlotte, Memphis and Atlantic regularly in the Southeast part of the United States. To the West there are flight going to Los Angeles and Denver. In the Midwest they have flights regularly heading for Dallas and Houston. In the Central portion of the United States the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport has flights headed to Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, and St. Louis. To the North portion of the United States there are regular flights headed to New York, Newark, and Washington, D.C.

Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport is not an extremely large airport but it is able to provide flights to many customers. This was one of three airports built in 25 years of U.S history. This airport had been in the works since the 1950's. I t was not fully realized until the 1990's. The final push for this airport was made when Sam Walton, founder of Wal-mart stores, Inc made a phone call to have this airport realized and in 1998 the realization came true. President Clinton was there in 1998 for the grand opening of the airport.

Though they are not large they are able to offer most amenities to airline passengers like car hire and shuttles to and from the airport parking areas. The Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport has opened business up to this part of the state allowing for easier travel to a developing area.
