Coventry Airport Guide

Guide

Coventry is a great city situated in the West Midlands county in England. Following Birmingham, it is the English Midlands second biggest city. It is the 11th largest city in the UK and the ninth largest in England. Of all the cities in Britain, Coventry is the furthest from the coast.

Situated 20 miles east of Birmingham and approximately 100 miles northwest of London. Coventry is one of the easiest airports to reach in England and car hire can be booked at Coventry Airport, this is definitely the most efficient way to get around during your stay. The airport is located right at the heart of the UK and is close to major motorways and highway networks.

You must visit Coventry's Cathedral during your stay. One of the World's newer cathedrals, it was built after the bombing during WWII on the old cathedral. Visit St. Michaels cathedral which is the most impressive landmark of the area.

Another famous attraction in Coventry is the free admission museum of Coventry Transport. The biggest collection of road vehicles made by the British in the world is here. The exhibitions, especially worth viewing, include the record-breaking cars, ThrustSSC and Thrust2.

Art fans will enjoy the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum. It is only a few miles away by car, slightly longer using public services. Drive to the rebuilt Roman Fort of Lunt Fort, which is in Baginton just outside of Coventry or take a trip to the Midland Air Museum, located within the border of Coventry.
