To the south of the town is its most significant landmark, the medieval church of St Mary and St Nicholas. Leatherhead lies just off the M25 (junction 9) at the gateway to the Surrey Hills and is halfway between Heathrow and Gatwick Airports, with a fast and frequent train service to Central London.
