Dubai Al Quoz Guide

Guide

Positioned in the western part of Dubai, Al Quoz is a community that is bordered to the west by Al Safa, Al Manara and Umm Al Sheif, and to the north by Al Wasl. Al Quoz houses four sub-communities that form the Al Quoz Industrial District.

Having expanded along Dubai Creek's both banks, the metropolitan area's central business zone is divided into two sections: Bur Dubai on the southern side and Deira to the north, connected by two bridges and a tunnel. Each features its selection of brilliant mosques and lively bazaars, and both are well worth exploring.

The fascinating Jumeirah Archaeological Site is a must see attraction for history buffs. This site is one of the United Arab Emirates' most significant. Tourists can also see local pottery, coins and tools from the site at Deira's nearby Heritage Village.

To fully explore Dubai and its more serene surrounding environment it is advised to arrange for a hire car. The attractions located further away from the city are often overlooked by tourists, which is truly a shame as there are some rewarding features to be found outside Dubai.

More than 75 carriers operate flights out of Dubai International Airport. This modern facility is one of the globe's most efficient aviation hubs, making Dubai an easy destination to reach from significant European and North American cities.
