Situated in the north of Thailand, Phitsanulok is the capital of the Phitsanulok Province and shares its border with Laos. As one of the oldest cities in Thailand, Phisanulok has a history dating back more than 600 years. Most popular for being the birth place of King Naresuan, car hire at Phitsanulok Airport is a great way to explore the area.

Because most of Phitsanulok's residents are Theravada Buddhist, the city is filled with a tremendous amount of decorative temples. Cheap car hire at Phitsanulok Airport, allows for visitors to explore the many historic sculptures around the city such as the Buddha Chin Sri, Phra Sri Satsada and the Buddha Chinnarat.

With car rental at Phitsanulok Airport, spend the day exploring the many gorgeous temples in the area. Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat is an excellent venue to begin with as it is the city's most popular tourist attraction. The temple was originally built during the 1300s and is home to one of the most cherished Buddha figures in the country.

Wat Aranyik was built during the Sukhothai Period and still has a historic chedi in place for the temples original construction. Another attraction around the city includes the Sergeant Major Dr Thawee Buranakhet Folklore Museum, which houses a unique collections of animal traps. The Buranathai Buddha Foundry is also located in Phitsanulok and specialises in making bronze Buddha images.
