Lugano airport is also known as Lugano-Agno due to the closeness that the airport in itself has to the Agno village rather than Lugano itself, though, since Agno is a village, the airport takes its name from Lugano city. Despite this fact, Lugano airport is one of the most visited airports since it is here where you can connect with either Switzerland through its Ticino region or Italy (to the north) .

The Ticino region of Switzerland, naturally, speaks mostly Italian due to the closeness that it has to this country. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
