Stockholm Central Station in the biggest railway station in Sweden. Central Station is located in the Norrmalm district at Vasagatam. The central station was established between the late sixties and the early seventies. The architect was Adolf W. Edelsvard. During such renovation, the central station extended to the south via construction of the southern pavilion. Now a days, this area of the station serves as a facility for conference. Close to this facility is where the Royal Family waits in the Royal waiting hall when they travel by train.
In the early fifties, the facade toward Vasagatan was altered into a more simple style. In the late fifties, the underground passage to T-Centralen became open.
The central station provides convenient service to the Stockholm-Arlanda Airport by way of the Arlanda Express.
