What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

Traditionally an industrial town, Finspang is inhabited by 21,000, 15,000 of which reside in the regional center. It is located a few kilometers away from the larger city of Norrkoping, Sweden. Most people who live in Finspang work in the big industrial companies such as ABB Alstom which makes turbines and SAPA, which makes aluminum profiles.

The area around Finspang is surrounded by iron mines and the town was a main producer of cannons and cannon balls which were used during the wars in Europe. Though a relatively small town, Finspang is filled with a wonderful atmosphere perfect for relaxation.

Finspang castle, built on a small island in the river, is one of the places you must visit if you are travelling in this beautiful little town. Behind the castle is the beautiful English park and Orangeriet. The English park was regarded as the most romantic park in all of Sweden in the period of the 16th century. From the great lawn of the castle, the park continues with path and bridges across small islands which includes Cupid's island (which is, as we know, dedicated to love) leading to the Aurora temple. The park also stretches towards the Lugnet (Tranquility) Gazebo and overlooks the Lake Skuten. Around Finspang are small streams and lakes which are ideal for canoeing.

Unfortunately, if you are looking for entertainment and restaurants, you can get car hire to transport you to nearby Norrkoping. Most tourists also prefer Norrkoping for their night lives because of the number of pubs built in the area.
