La Palma Port Guide

La Palma is one of the seven Canary Islands of Spain. They are in the Atlantic Ocean, and are a much visited tourist destination. La Palma is renowned for its natural beauty which was formed of the volcanic activity of the area. Car hire at La Palma Port is ideal for taking in the landscape.

Go shopping on La Palma, which has many high quality products, such as cheese, honey, wine and rum made locally at low prices. These make great gifts for friends and family back home. Unusual clothes and jewellery can be bought here for cheap prices as well.

For beaches, head to Los Cancajos or Puerto de Naos with cheap car hire at La Palma Port. These two beaches have the European Blue Flag for Excellence, meaning they are safe and clean, with excellent facilities. The less visited beaches are more dangerous, with less predictable seas and often not many people around.

Drive into Santa Cruz de la Palma with car rental at La Palma Port to experience this old-style town. Most of the houses and other buildings here are from the 17th and 18th century and bring a sort of elegance to the island. Cigars are also famously produced here.

Be adventurous and try out hiking, diving or paragliding. Horseback riding and boat trips are also available. All activities are very safe with all the proper equipment and trained instructors and staff. See the island from a different perspective with one of these exciting activities.
