Huelva is a city on the Bay of Cadiz, in the Andalusia region of south-west Spain. Huelva is a regional shipping centre and has historic sites commemorating Christopher Columbus, and Roman ruins. The beaches at Punta Umbria are nearby. Car hire at Huelva Rail Station is a convenient option for transport.

Huelva Rail Station is on Avenida de Italia on the south side of the city centre. Huelva Rail Station has direct train services from Zafra, Madrid and Seville. The station has basic facilities including a caf, a newsagents and car rental at Huelva Rail Station service points.

Huelva contains an archaeological museum, art galleries and various ornate statues. Huelva's principal tourist sights are Santuario de la Cinta, Rabida Monastery and Muelle de Carabelas, which has Columbus' ships docked at it. The Queen Victoria district contains English style houses.

Car rental at Huelva Rail Station is the best way of travelling to beaches at Punta Umbria and El Rompido. Punta Umbria is a seaside town on Costa de la Luz. Playa La Mata Negra, is the town beach and has all the facilities needed for a relaxing day by the sea. The beach has some of Punta Umbria's eclectic restaurants and nightlife venues along it.

From Huelva the A49/E1 motorway provides a convenient route to Vila Real de Santo Antonio, on the Portuguese border, and Seville. Seville is a leading European arts and culture centre packed with tourist draws that include Torre del Oro, the mediaeval cathedral and the Traditional Arts and Customs Museum. To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?
