The highlight of a visit to Tijuana is to wander through the bustling downtown area, with its countless markets, stalls, and duty-free shops around Avenida Revolución and the incredible Centro Cultural complex, said to resemble the earth breaking out of its shell. Take in the spectacular Cine Planetario, with its giant Cinemax screen. Also in the complex is an interesting museum, which has extensive exhibits introducing Mexican culture and art.

Elsewhere in the town are the El Lugar del Nopal, which hosts a variety of artistic events, including exhibitions and live music, the Mexitlán, a miniature Mexican theme park with models of famous Mexican buildings, folklore performances, and the new Wax Museum.

Accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets abounds in Tijuana, as do quality restaurants and cafes. However, the town is most well known for its amazing nightlife, consisting of numerous bars, clubs, shows and pubs catering to all tastes.

Tijuana is the gateway to the magnificent Baja Peninsula, renowned for its long coastline of fine white beaches, peaceful bays and imposing cliffs. Baja offers tourists a variety of outdoor activities, such as horseback riding, surfing and whale-watching. Noteworthy sights on the peninsula include Loreto, Sierra de San Francisco, La Paz, and Sierra de la Laguna.

Tijuana International Airport serves direct flights from many cities, as well as connections from major Californian hubs and Mexico City. Shuttle services into the town are frequent and reliable.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.
