Piacenza Guide

Piacenza is another city in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. This area had been occupied by Celtics and Liguian tribes in the olden days. After that, the Romans settled here and therefore has a fabulous and exciting array of historical buildings and monuments. Piacenza got its name from the 'Liver of Piacenza', a bronze sculpture of a liver which was found near the city and had the names of regions marked on it. These names were assigned to various Gods in later times.
