What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

Cortona is one of the best destinations in Tuscany. The historical hill town is featured in Francis Mayes's famous book, Under the Tuscan Sun. The medieval streets of Cortona are pleasant to wander, while the town walls offer panoramic views to the valley below.

The scenic town of Cortona is perched on top of a hill. With most of the town streets narrow and steep, tourists are recommended to use car rental at Cortona. It is easy to drive around Cartona, with the town's main attractions are well-signposted.

The 13th century clock tower and town hall are in Cortona's main square, Piazza della Republica. The town's Renaissance cathedral and the Church of San Francesco have beautiful fa?�ades and paintings inside. Notable museums to visit inside the town includes the Museo dell' Accademia Etrusca and the Museo Diocesano.

Cortona has good restaurants serving local Tuscan food. Easily accessed with cheap car hire at Cortona, Enoteria is a nice place for wine tasting. Situated along Via Nazionale, Antica Drogheia sells grappa, a grape-based pomace brandy, and health products made by the Camaldolesi monks.
