Is Carrentals.co.uk the cheapest?

Yes, we offer a guarantee of the lowest price - because we compare various retailers, we can always offer you the best price in town.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

What is a worry-free label?

Only rental companies with a high level of customer satisfaction are eligible to be included in our Worry-Free selection. This rate includes excess cover and unlimited kilometres. Your vehicle will be provided and must be returned with a full tank of fuel. With a vehicle from our Worry-Free selection, you can travel with peace of mind and no hidden costs.

How can I change or cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).

When will I get a confirmation of my booking?

Most reservations will receive confirmation within minutes after payment takes place. We recommend contacting our Booking Department for last minute reservations (pick-up within 48 hours).

Customer experience

Good and reliable company for renting a car abroad

Easy website, easy phone contact when I had questions. Everything well-organized. Friendly staff. Have rented a car through this company several times and have always been very satisfied.

There wasn't any mention of a cleaning charge on the Carrentals site. When we said that with any driving, it was inevitable that the car would pick up dirt, the Caldera staff explained that the cleaning charge was for an excessive mess on the interior of the car. We were not asked for any additional cleaning charge when we returned the car

I wanted to advise of a possible delay due to ESS but the representative on the phone was more of a preacher than a listener. Carrentals' customer support could be vastly improved.

The reason gave Carrentals an average is that we tried to call as instructed on the email to notify of late arrival. Held on for 20 minutes before call was answered to be told to call back when we knew exact time. Not great when you have to hold for 20 minutes. In fairness the guy did say he would call Budget to let them know. Also emailed and got a response the following day.

My carrentals experience was fine but I think you need to vet your associates more closely, a quick check on trip advisor shows my experience was not isolated.

I have used this site

I have used this site multiple times before.

Araxos Airport is on the Peloponnese Peninsula, connected to mainland Greece. It serves as gateway to the city of Patras, one of Greece's largest cities known for a range of attractions. Car hire at Araxos Airport is the easiest means of exploring the region.

The airport is located in Araxos, about 25 miles west of Patras. The airport is served by Rulfly, Sky Express, Edelweiss Air and Austrian Airilesn, with flights connecting to other destinations in Greece as well as to Austria, Germany and Switzerland on a charter basis. Cheap car hire at Araxos Airport is offered in the Arrivals hall.

If you are landing at the airport, car rental at Araxos Airport is the easiest means of getting to and from Patras. Getting to and from Patras by car hire from Araxos Airport takes about an hour. The E5 (also known as Route 9) is the main road link. It circles the entire northern region of the peninsula.

There are thousands of hotel rooms in Patras, catering primarily to domestic tourists. Psilalonia Square is the epicentre of Patras, and a collection of neo-Classical architecture radiates outward from its fountain. Other sites include Turkish baths, the Roman Odeon and St Andrew's Church.
