A panoramic view of Wiesloch would show a hilly landscape with town area sunk in a valley dominated by vineyards. Adding to the city's charm are the five brooks of Leimbach, Gauangelbach, Waldangelbach, Ochsenbach und Maisbach which flows on the city's boundaries.

The city pharmacy in Wiesloch was reported to be the first petrol station of the world following the Bertha Benz, which ended in August, 1888 in order to refill the tank of the first automobile her husband Karl Benz had invented.
