Weil Am Rhein is a city situated in the banks of river Rhine in Germany. The city is located in the southern border of Germany and it borders two countries. The city falls under the Baden-Wurttemberg state in south Germany.

The town is thought to be of Roman Origin with the original name Willa. The city was dependent on agriculture till late 19th century. In mid 20th century the city had textile factories to its name. Slowly after the Second World War the city grew rapidly.

The city is connected to A5 and A98 Motorways. Also B3 and B317 are connected to the main highways. The city is also connected well with the rail lines and is managed by the Rhine Valley Railways. The nearest airport is at Frankfurt which can be reached by road and rail.

The city is located on borders of France and Switzerland and has a continental climate due to the presence of black forest nearby. Located at an elevation of just over 280m above sea level and a population of 30,000 the city has a small surface area of just below 20 square km.

The city is relatively smaller and can be seen on foot. The best mode to see the town is to take a walk around the town. You can also drive around the town. You can also hire bicycles to get around the town.

The museum Lindenplatz houses topics and objects of historical and cultural importance. The Vitra Design museum is also another place to visit. The main attraction is the 16th century mansion in the city and the St. George church.
