What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Noerdlingen

Noerdlingen, in Bavaria, is located midway on the Romantic Street and 80 miles from the Munich airport through the no. 8 Munich-Stuttgart highway. It is Daniel that shows up first; this gothic church-bell tower of St. George's church at the middle of the town can be seen first after crossing the big wall with five entrances and sixteen towers. That is one of the medieval achievements. Among the more recent ones is the initiation of the Apollo Missions by the US that took place over in the massive Ries cratrer. This unique crater was made by a crashing meteorite and is where the NASA astronauts received training on how to climb a crater.

Every autumn Noerdlingen celebrates the Townwall Festival; it is all about the days of yore and even the food is prepared following the medieval recipes. Pack it with old medieval costumes and actions and a visitor may travel back in time at least for a few hours.

Once the visitor has a hearty fill of the olden times, it is time to tread the Romantic Street once more, towards the adjoining towns. Wuerzburg comes first and then Tauberbischofsheim, with another set of wonders waiting for being delved and relished to round up the vacation in a way only possible in Bavaria.
