The town of Herzogenaurach is in the Erlangen-Hchstadt district of Bavaria, Germany. The city is famous for the some of the best sporting goods industry including puma and Addidas. The city is further divided into 12 districts.

Some of the first written facts about the city date back to 11th century. During the medieval times the buildings in the city were enclosed by 4 ramparts and moats. The town hall dates back to the medieval age which is now used as a market hall.

The town is located 23kms from Nuremberg is right on the A3 motorway at the junction of Erlangen-Frauenaurach. Also the A73 motorway is about 15 minutes from the town. You can also get down at the Erlangen station and reach the city by Bus no 201 of the city's Omnibus transportation francs.

The city is located at a height of 301m above the sea level and is spread over an area of 47.43 square km. The town has an approximate population of 23000. Also a tributary of the Regnitz River runs along the city.

The city's famous Herzo Bus is one of the best ways to get around the town. You can also hire taxis or drive in your own vehicle. The recommended mode is to have a car to see the various places at your own pace.
