Duren is a town in the Duren district in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The city is located between Aachen and Cologne. The city is one of the largest in the districts and is divided into 15 further districts.

The city is one of the oldest in the city and has been documented about 2000 years back and the city was first conquered by the Romans under the leadership of Julius Caesar. The town obtained city rights in the 13th century. The city became one of the richest by 20th century.

The city is connected by a good rail network and also by road network. The nearest airport is situated at Frankfurt airport and can be accessed by rail and road. The city has daily trains running to the airport.

Located in an area of about 85 square km and at an elevation of 120m above sea level the city has a population of about 90,000 residents. The city is fairly mountainous with the highest elevation being at about 225m above sea level.

The city has a good connection of Bus service that runs to most parts of the town. Also there is taxi service that could help you a lot when you feel lost. The minimum fare of a taxi would be about 3 Euros.

The city has 3 museums which are worth visiting. Some of the other places include the Castle of Burgau, the water palace, Anna's Church and Three belt bridges.

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).
