The charming, historic town of Auxerre, located in France's Bourgogne region, is filled with charming buildings, street side cafes and a wealth of tradition to be explored. The town is close to high profile wineries, including the world renowned Chablis.

Auxerre St Gervais Rail Station, located close to the town centre, serves regular trains daily from Gare de Lyon in Paris. The journey takes about two hours, with most services running early in the morning. The station offers basic passenger facilities, including car hire. The Gothic Cathedral of St Etienne, dating back to between the 11th and 16th centuries, features some of the country's finest stained glass windows and is a popular sight with visitors.
