Visitors flock to the Picardie capital of Amiens to explore the numerous WWI gravesites in the area, including the site of the famous Battle of Amiens. Convenient SNCF rail connections with both French port towns and the capital Paris make getting to this historical town easy.

Amiens Railway Station is directly connected to Paris (1 hour, 10 minutes) to the south and Lille to the north hourly, with further direct connections with Boulogne to the west and Reims to the east being less frequent.

Visitors from the UK can access Amiens by taking the Eurostar from London Waterloo Station to Lille or Paris, and then a connecting train to Amiens Railway Station. Alternatively, ferry passengers from Dover, UK can access Amiens by train from the French port towns of Calais or Boulogne.
