In the northwestern part of the Croatian island of Krk you'll find the picturesque Malinska. Malinska, a major tourist destination, is a small town situated along the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Located on a bay, Malinska faces the towns of Opatija and Rijeka. Only 15 minutes from Rijeka airport, visitors can drive to Malinska via the Krcki Bridge. The town is only 13 kilometers from the city of Krk. Nearly 3000 people live in Malinska.

Tourists are attracted Malinska because of the city's rich vegetation, beautiful forests, sandy beaches, prime swimming holes and plush accommodations. The Rajski Cesta (Paradise Road) is a promenade, a few kilometers long, located along the coastline. Fine dining, especially fresh vegetables and fish can be found in konobas, or local restaurants. Additional sites of interest include a Francescan's monastery and the church of St. Maria Magdalena.

Malinska is center of a region called Dubasnica which contains 19 small villages. First mention of Malinska came in the 15th century when the town's first mill was built. This mill was the source of Malinska's name as the Croatian word for mill is Mlin. What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
