I hired a car for a USA holiday of nearly 2 weeks with the pick up in Spokane, Washington and drop off in Jackson, Wyoming. There were no problems picking up the car or dropping it off to Avis. We had a choice of cars and we chose the Toyota Highlander (SUV) which was All Wheel Drive. It was quite new and operated well. While the US hire car companies don't specify 4 wheel drive or All Wheel Drive to book in advance, the Avis consultant advised us on which of the available cars were All Wheel Drive and suitable to drive in icy/snow conditions.

Website easy to use. Collected car as ordered from friendly and helpful people at Hertz, delivered to airport as arranged. Prices very competitive.

I have used Carrentals a number of times and found the process very easy. I haven't experienced any problems with the rentals so haven't used any complaints process. I would like more information about 4WD and AWD as we need these for winter travel in mountainous areas, but so far this hasn't been a problem. Carrentals prices have been competitive as I book early. And the cancellation policy is good to have in reserve even though I haven't had to trigger that. I will continue using them.

Excellent service From Carrentals. Since I originally booked the price came down a few times. A phone call later the car was rebooked at the lower price and a refund of the difference was made to my credit card. Had no problems collecting the car from Alamo and as I had booked Gold they didn't try to sell me anything else. When calling Carrentals the staff were very pleasant and efficient. No problems whatsoever. Will use them again.
