What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

I phoned to change the

I phoned to change the time for pick up and return of the car. It was not a good experience. I was told I could not do it and encouraged to book an up grade. I wanted to change my booking and return by 4 hours from 10.00am to 2.oo pm. I was told it was not possible to change it. I was told a car would not be available. I said I would take the risk and ended up in cancelling my booking and then re booking on line. Not helpful. I almost did not use your site to re book.

We booked a Yaris or

We booked a Yaris or similar, but on arrival were allocated a larger Hyundai Accent which was too large for my wife to drive. ECCR at Hobart apparently have very few Yaris-sized cars. Fortunately we were going to be passing nearby a few days later so were able to substitute the Accent for a smaller Kia Rio for the rest of our trip, but Carrentals need to check more carefully what sort of cars are actually available - size does matter, and a bigger car than you've booked isn't necessarily acceptable to all customers.

Good range of vehicles available. The main problem was lack of information about the additional cost of a one-way hire. When you initially enter details of the desired hire, your website shows the same price as for returning to the same location. Only when you proceed with the actual booking does the additional one-way hire fee appear. This is seriously misleading.

Parkes airport is a regional airport situated east of Parkes, and is serviced by Regional Express for providing regular passenger services between Sydney and Parkes. The grounds of the airport houses an Aero Club, aircraft maintenance business, a training School and a refueling agent.

When on a trip to Parkes, it is better for you to use car hire to travel to and from Parkes airport and your place of accommodation. There is no problem on your getting car hires on reaching Parkes airport as there are four car hire companies that service the airport.

There are 2 runways at the airport with windsocks located adjacent to each runway. However, currently there is a lot of needed refurbishment and improvements taking place in Parkes airport. There are ideas to expand not only its car park, but also the bus shelters that have a taxi rank where you can park your car hire if required.

The administrator, operator and owner of the Parkes Regional Airport is the Parkes Shire council and has been so since 1975 when it was handed over the responsibility by the Federal Government.

It is the Regular Public Transport that is Regional Express which services Parkes Regional Airport. 18 regular flights go through this airport every week, providing convenient connectivity to parts of Australia.

It is with the help of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority that the Parkes Shire Council had managed to develop the Parkes Aerodrome Manual. This had improved the status of the airport from a Registered Airport to a Certified Airport. Security is ensured in the airport with the Closed Circuit Television system that is used for monitoring and recording actions in and around the terminal and car park.

At present, there are no Fire Fighting and Rescue Services available at the airport. It is the Local Emergency Management committee that is responsible for conducting an exercise here every alternate year to provide full emergency callout in the airport in emergencies.
