Set in the northernmost reaches of South Africa's Limpopo Province, Musina is one of many South African cities to undergo a name change in the last decade. As a result some maps may use the former spelling, 'Messina'. Located along the H1 motorway, Musina is best known for its situation in a large nature reserve.

The Musina Nature Reserve covers more than 9,000 acres and includes tens of thousands of towering baobab trees. The tallest exceed 80 feet and are popular with visitors.
