Located in the south-west Indian Ocean, The French island of Reunion is in the outermost area of the European Union. Le Chaudron is the island's capital city, and lies in the northern district of Saint-Denis. If you are visiting Reunion, you will probably want to pick up some car hire in Chaudron before you continue your journey.

The city is mainly characterised by its high levels of unemployment and is known for the violent riots that shaped its history in the early 1990s. But now it is a popular place to visit, with the AS Chaudron football club and Kom Zot reggae among its more positive boasts.

The city itself is reasonably easy to navigate around by cheap car hire in Chaudron, but the area of Saint-Denis is also fun to explore for those wishing to take their wheels a little further. The Riviere Saint-Denis is a nice spot for a picnic as well as offering a good view and a romantic setting at sun-down.

Sights to see here include the Leon Dierx Museum, which has a fine collection of art and artifacts, and the Jardin de l'Etat. The latter is a public garden perfect for lounging or reading quietly in, with an air conditioned natural history museum attached for when it gets too hot.

The seafront park of Le Barachois is also easily reached by car rental in Chaudron, as is La Roche ecrite. Located just a few miles south of the city, the summit boats impressive views of Saint-Denis.

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.
