Port Moresby Airport is located 8 km from Papua New Guinea's capital city. The terminal is the hub of Air Niugini's domestic services to cities such as Lae, Kavieng, Rabaul and Mount Haven. International flights are offered to destinations in Oceania and Asia. Regularly scheduled services are provided to: Australia, Japan and the Philippines.

The airport has a number of shops and restaurants as well as a tourist information centre. Car hire may be booked from: Sec 37, Lot 10.at the hotel. While public buses and taxis are available at the airport, this may be an expensive and time-consuming option.

Booking your car hire is easy as long as you have a credit card, driving license and passport. The road network within Port Moresby is by far the easiest to travel within Papua New Guinea. Roads are well-paved and sign-posted, unlike many parts of the island.
