What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

I phoned to change the

I phoned to change the time for pick up and return of the car. It was not a good experience. I was told I could not do it and encouraged to book an up grade. I wanted to change my booking and return by 4 hours from 10.00am to 2.oo pm. I was told it was not possible to change it. I was told a car would not be available. I said I would take the risk and ended up in cancelling my booking and then re booking on line. Not helpful. I almost did not use your site to re book.

We booked a Yaris or

We booked a Yaris or similar, but on arrival were allocated a larger Hyundai Accent which was too large for my wife to drive. ECCR at Hobart apparently have very few Yaris-sized cars. Fortunately we were going to be passing nearby a few days later so were able to substitute the Accent for a smaller Kia Rio for the rest of our trip, but Carrentals need to check more carefully what sort of cars are actually available - size does matter, and a bigger car than you've booked isn't necessarily acceptable to all customers.

Good range of vehicles available. The main problem was lack of information about the additional cost of a one-way hire. When you initially enter details of the desired hire, your website shows the same price as for returning to the same location. Only when you proceed with the actual booking does the additional one-way hire fee appear. This is seriously misleading.

The Sharp charter company gives tourists the freedom of working out of Portland as a hub. The charter planes offer flights to Essenden Airport and have other connecting flights to Melbourne.

Portland Airport has welcomed the aviators who realized short - connecting flights to and out of Portland would be very important in the future. The growing tourist interest has kept the Sharp Aviation Company busy. If you.re not short on time, get a car hire and commute via auto - be prepared to see some beautiful country, a few historical sites and new business sites.

Portland is one of the oldest European settlements in Victoria, but it seems to have a lot of clout and recently received several million dollars for an overpass to relieve traffic congestion in and out of it.s port. This overpass makes one feel that the Port of Portland in Victoria is going to be one of the latest and greatest commercial ports in New South Wales.

If Portland is selected as the port to enlarge in order to continue commercial shipping in and out of Victoria, the airport will definitely have to go ahead with plans to enlarge. Since the late 90.s, the Port of Portland has been shuffled around from hand to hand. At this time, a couple of institutional investors are the ones in control of the port.

So until decisions about the Port of Portland are etched in stone, tourism continues to grow and the Portland Airport is doing a fine job scheduling flights and taking care of their customers.
