What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

I phoned to change the

I phoned to change the time for pick up and return of the car. It was not a good experience. I was told I could not do it and encouraged to book an up grade. I wanted to change my booking and return by 4 hours from 10.00am to 2.oo pm. I was told it was not possible to change it. I was told a car would not be available. I said I would take the risk and ended up in cancelling my booking and then re booking on line. Not helpful. I almost did not use your site to re book.

We booked a Yaris or

We booked a Yaris or similar, but on arrival were allocated a larger Hyundai Accent which was too large for my wife to drive. ECCR at Hobart apparently have very few Yaris-sized cars. Fortunately we were going to be passing nearby a few days later so were able to substitute the Accent for a smaller Kia Rio for the rest of our trip, but Carrentals need to check more carefully what sort of cars are actually available - size does matter, and a bigger car than you've booked isn't necessarily acceptable to all customers.

Good range of vehicles available. The main problem was lack of information about the additional cost of a one-way hire. When you initially enter details of the desired hire, your website shows the same price as for returning to the same location. Only when you proceed with the actual booking does the additional one-way hire fee appear. This is seriously misleading.

Car Hire

Hastings is the main commercial center of the Western Port and the general business district of Mornington Peninsula. The towne is located approximately 62 kilometers from Melbourne, between Frankston and Finders Roads, most easily accessible via car hire. The region includes the districts of Tyabb, Stony Point, Crib Point, Bittern, Somerville and Pearcedale.

Hastings was first known as King.s Creek. In 1860 it was named for Warren Hastings, the governor-general of India. Wool, apple orchards, meat and dairy farming and fishing are important to Hastings. industry, but tourism has by far the largest economic impact.

Tourists have discovered Hastings and its many tourist attractions, including a large, modern harbor and beaches for swimming and surfing. The Western Port Marina offers excellent fishing spots for diehard anglers and long Island Point is a center of Hastings industry, with a true measure of raw, industrial beauty. All of these one-of-a-kind destinations are best accessed by care hire service. But the beauty doesn't end there, Mullet street offers cruises and boat hire, as well as cycle and walking trails, and breathtaking views.

Another way to experience nature is the Mangrove Walk and Crib Point, with a path that begins at the marina, winding south to the Western Port and views of Sandstone and French Islands, crossing over mangrove swaps and concluding at Jacks Beach.
