Kuching International Airport is the main airport that serves the eastern Malaysian state of Sarawak. It is the capital of this state and is the fourth largest city in Malaysia. Kuching is located in the district of Kuching, and is a tropical location with high temperatures throughout the year making it a popular place for tourists to visit.

The name Kuching translates to cat in an old Malay language. Most of the cat related places and items in Kuching have came about because or tourism and the legend that Brooke called for a cat and instead got the city. The city of Kuching now advertises itself as the 'City of Cats' and brings in tourists to see the Kuching Cat Museum.
