Coves Noves is described as being a quiet, relaxing resort with restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance. It is close to other resorts and places of interest on Menorca’s north coast.

The fishing port of Fornells and its neighbouring resort, Playa de Fornells offer water sports and boat hire.

The former capital of the island, Cuitadella, is within a short distance and is a cultural centre with Moorish influences that are still visible. Its cathedral is also worthy of a visit. There are plenty of fish restaurants along the harbour-side, serving locally caught fish.

It is a just short journey to the resort of Son Parc, where the only golf course on the island is situated. Set in beautiful countryside, this course was designed by the same person responsible for the Belfry course in England. A Wetlands Nature Reserve borders the course.

Tempting though it is to spend the whole holiday either on the beach, or in the water, the colourful markets that are held in the mornings, three times a week, in nearby Es Mercadal are worth a visit. Es Mercadal is just 30 minutes drive from Coves Noves and has banking facilities and a range of shops. Its annual fiesta is held on the 3rd or 4th weekend in July.

Mahon is the capital of Menorca and has a busy port, deep enough to allow cruise liners to be seen anchored close to the harbour-side bars and restaurants. It is only about 20 minutes away and offers the bustle of a busy shopping area and plenty of places to sit, relax and watch the world go by.
