Cala Blanca is one of the newer resort destinations of Menorca having been built in the 1990’s. It lies on the extreme west coast just west of Mahon and the International Aeropuerto. There are a few bars and clubs in Cala Blanca, but most entertainment will be hotel based. There is a disco in neighboring Cala Santandria. To the north in Ciutadella de Menorca you will find a small water park that would appeal to families with small children.

Restaurants offer a wide range of menus featuring regional specialties. Es Caliu, Restaurante II Vespro and Restaurante Cala Blanca are just a few that afford a spectacular menu in a peaceful setting. Es Caliu Grill in Carretera Cala Blanca is the place to come if you are looking for a substantial meal. They specialize in grilled meats such as lamb, veal, pork, rabbit and split roast pig. The setting is a family style with stacked wine barrels, hanging garlic braids, fireplace and log tables and benches.
