The Culture and Convention Centre is housed in a refurbished Synagogue building (renovated in 1976) and hosts exhibitions in an architecturally idyllic setting. There is also a permanent ‘Jewish Life In Wittlich’ exhibition for those fascinated by that aspect of German culture.

For those more interested in what the countryside around Wittlich has to offer, there is the Roman Villa just outside of Wittlich (easily reached by hire car). Built around 200 AD, it is a splendid sight and one of the largest villas in the North Alpine region. An excursion to the villa makes a great day out for all as it rests in Wittlich’s beautiful countryside.
