Veszprém is a picturesque and quite city, which lies on the both side of Sed creek, north of the famous Hungarian Balaton Lake. The city is a capital of an administrative county of the same name. One can reach Veszprém from Budapest via the M7 motorway and Road 8 through Székesfehérvár.

According to the legend here, the city was found on seven hills, the same like Rome. The seven hills can be counted even today.

The city is among the first in Hungary with University – the well-known University of Pannonia. In 1272 fire destroyed the building and Veszprém became again a university center in the 20th century
