Car Hire Pula Airport - Mini guide to Pula Airport
Located on the northwest coast of Croatia, Pula International Airport is strategically situated at the southeast end of the Istrian Peninsula, a favourable geographical position which enables easy access to well known resorts. Its location makes it very popular for summer charter flights from Europe and the Middle East, resulting in a 40 per cent increase in passengers between 2002 and 2003.
A single terminal building caters for all domestic, international and charter flights. The terminal building has ATM machines and a currency exchange bureau. Business facilities are provided by the spacious VIP lounge; fax + 385 (0) 52 550 914 for information and reservations.
There are bars and cafés which offer light meals and refreshments, and there is a range of duty-free and regular shopping outlets selling local handicrafts, gifts and produce.
Those who require special assistance or wheelchairs should notify their airlines when booking their flight. Specially fitted toilets and ramps are located across the airport. Designated parking areas are available in the car park opposite the terminal. An airport information desk is centrally located in the terminal building.
Pula International Airport is six kilometres from the city, and is easily accessed by both private and public transportation. The airport can be reached by car via well signposted roads. Taxis are available from outside the terminal building and run to central Pula and other nearby locations.
There is one large car park which offers 50 short-term and 200 long-term parking spaces located directly opposite the terminal. There is a pick-up and drop-off area right outside the terminal entrance, and assistance is available for the mobility impaired.
