Car Rental Nuremberg Airport - Transportation to and From Nuremberg Airport
Nuremberg Airport is located five kilometres to the north of its city in the region of Bayern in central, southeast Germany. Several major autobahns approach the airport from all directions and it is well serviced by subway and bus.
The main rail station and the city centre are connected to the airport by the U2 subway line in only 12 minutes. The journey to the exhibition centre takes 25 minutes, with a change at the main rail station from the U2 line to the U1 line to Langwasser.
The airport is connected to the Nuremberg bus network as well as the subway network. Buses numbers 32 (from Thon terminal) and 33 (from Nürnberg-Buch) run to the airport.
By car, the A9 (BerlinMunich) autobahn runs north-south and is connected to the airport via the A3. The A6 runs east-west to the south of the airport and is connected via the A9 and A3; while the A3 runs in from Frankfurt.
Taxis are available around the clock at Nuremberg Airport; it typically costs 13 to get to the city centre and takes 15 minutes. A ride to Erlangen is about 20 and takes 25 minutes, while the journey to Fürth costs 15 and takes 20 minutes.
Six thousand electronically guided parking spaces are available at the two multi-storey car parks opposite Departure Terminals 1 and 2, and at the other outdoor car parks. Short term parking lots are on the airport square, on outdoor car park P21 or in multi-storey car park P1. Valet parking is also available.
