Car Hire Copenhagen Airport - Mini guide to Copenhagen Airport
Each day, 50,000 passengers use Copenhagen International Airport. Just 8kms southeast of Copenhagen, this popular northern European holiday and transit destination has enjoyed a considerable increase in traffic over the past ten years. Services and transportation improvements have also been made, placing Copenhagen in Europes premiere airport league.
The airport has three terminal buildings, each serving many destinations. Terminal 1 offers both long and short haul flights; terminal 2 offers domestic destinations and the majority of international flights are from airport terminal 3. A free transit bus connects terminal 1 with the international terminal.
Banks are found in terminals 2 and 3, and provide bureaux de change from 0600-2200. ATMs are also available across all terminals. There is a post office situated between terminals 2 and 3.
Business travellers are provided with wireless internet access in most areas of the airport, provided they have a wireless LAN PC card. Payment can be made by credit card. Moreover, a business centre is located on level 4 of Terminal 3. Workstations, office facilities and conference rooms are available. Contact the centre at (0)32 483 000.
Copenhagen Airport Shopping Centre offers passengers a wide range of famous international brands in 48 'speciality' shops. These facilities range from bakeries to boutiques and from health shops to bars and restaurants. In addition, airport duty-free shops provide a wide selection of perfume, cosmetics, spirits and confectionery.
ATMs and banking facilities can be found throughout the airport complex. Currency exchange services are also widely available. Shops will accept Swedish 500-kronor and 1,000-kronor notes. There are also ATMs in all airport parking areas.
The airport is fully accessible to the disabled, with special wheelchair ramps and toilet facilities. The passenger should inform the airline of their needs in advance, to ensure smooth passage. The car park also has disabled parking spaces.
