Washington Dulles, 42 km west of Washington, is a huge airport with nearly 20 million passengers passing through annually. The airport operates multiple security layers to ensure the safety of the huge flow of passengers. It serves destinations around the globe with daily links to major European destinations.
In the airport you will find 1 terminal, with four concourses A-D.
ATMs and bureaux de change are available. Stamp vending machines and post-boxes are situated around the airport. Hotel telephone centres are positioned on the lower level of the main terminal in the ground transportation centres.
Bars, restaurants and cafés are available in abundance, throughout all concourses. Eateries include McDonalds, Vie de France, Starbucks, Pizza-Hut, Cinnabon and a multitude of other options. Have some fresh gelato at Ben & Jerrys Ice cream in Concourses B, C and D.
Shops are distributed across all concourses, with a wide selection including a shoeshine, newsagents, duty-free shop, gift shop, sweet shop, music shop, leather goods store, sunglasses outlet and jewelers. Presently, left luggage lockers are not provided. However, you will find Luggage trolleys available for use all over the airport.
Business service centres are found at the eastern end (Tel: 703 572 2963) and western end (Tel: 703 572 2969) of the main terminal's upper level. They provide bureaux de change, insurance, fax, photocopying, notary and other services. Business centres are also in Concourses B, C and D.
Airline representatives can arrange wheelchairs and assistance if you refer to the relevant counter. Whilst those with hearing difficulties can benefit from TDD phones, located in the main terminals and all concourses, and maintain awareness of announcements via the visual paging system provided on Concourse B and in the main terminal. Specially adapted toilets are also provided and lifts have Braille signage. You will find parking spaces set aside for disabled passengers in all the airport car parks. These spaces are conveniently located either close to the terminal or nearby the shuttle bus shelter, while shuttle buses are fitted with wheelchair lifts.
An international visitors' information counter situated on the lower level of the baggage reclaim, can provide further information (Tel: 703 572 2536). Travelers' Aid services (Tel: 703 572 8296) are available at the information counter, which is also located on the baggage reclaim level. Travelers' Aid ambassadors are to be found on concourses B, C and D.
