Car Hire in Terrace Airport - Mini guide to Terrace Airport
The Terrace Airport has been serving northwestern British Columbia for decades. One of the busiest airports in BC, Terrace has long been a hub of activity for the cities of Terrace and Kitimat. The airport has many amenities typical of airports many times its size. There are two bus services that provide transportation from the airport to hotels in town. The bus service allows aviators who fly in and need to overnight, allowing them to start fresh the next morning. If you choose to rent a car then you can pick it up from the airport, making your transfer easy. The airport has a small cafe, as well, allowing a hot meal.
The Flight Deck Restaurant is open from 6:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. and on Saturday is open from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Whether you're just flying through, or if you plan to overnight in Terrace, you should take the opportunity to refuel and resupply; both services are offered for a nominal fee by the airport staff. SeaPort Limousine also operates a service from the airport, for those travelers who are willing to pay an extra fee.
Passenger service is offered from Terrace daily. Three regional airlines, Jazz, HawkAir, and Central Mountain Air all operate from the airport, offering flights to and from Kelowna, Vancouver, Prince George, and points south. Always ensure that if you're going to fly from Terrace, you arrive at least 45 minutes early for your flight. This will allow you time to stretch your legs, use the facilities, and clear security before you begin your flight.
