St Petersburg International Airport is more commonly known as Pulkovo Airport. The air terminal was completed in 1932 and has a rich history. During WWII, the airport was home to frontline Soviet troops during the Siege of Leningrad. Nazi forces occupied the nearby hills of Pulkovo.
