Quedlinburg has a relatively humid climate; however snowfall is very common each year. The average temperature in the town is nearly 18 degrees Celsius. Rainfall is common from May to September and averages over 430 metres each year. There are two airports near the town. Both are within 130 kilometres of the town. The closer airport, of Leipzig Halle is only 90 kilometres away, but is commonly used by only smaller aircraft. Buses are available and run to other small towns nearby. Buses also run to Berlin. The train is another option for tourists. There are two railways that run in and out of the city.
The buildings and homes in Quedlinburg are amazing. Some date back over 600 years and are truly a special site to see. According to most, the town is one of the most well-preserved from both the renaissance and medieval eras. There are also newer buildings found in the town that date back over 100 years. The town has much to offer to tourists considering its age. Those that enjoy a great deal of history can truly appreciate the preservation of the town. Tourists are welcome and will not be disappointed in their time spent in and around the town.
