Perpignan–Rivesaltes Airport
Located in southwestern France, Perpignan–Rivesaltes Airport is also known locally as Llabanere Airport. The airport is located three miles from the 1,000-year-old town of Perpignan.
The airport is currently served by four airlines: Air France, Flybe, BmiBaby and Ryanair. Air France provides domestic connections to Paris Orly up to four times a day. Flybe operates flights to Southampton, BmiBaby to Manchester and Ryanair to London Stanstead. Ryanair will soon add Birmingham and Charleroi to its routes from Perpignan–Rivesaltes Airport.
The single terminal offers a limited number of facilities. There is an ATM, small shop and a café-bar serving snacks and drinks, and 780 parking available spaces at the airport.
The airport is located right on the A9 motorway, providing easy access to Perpignan for passengers driving hire cars. Travellers can also take the high-speed train to Paris and other major French cities.
Additionally, there are regular shuttle buses from the airport to Perpignan and taxis are also available directly outside the terminal. Neither of these options are convenient for those with lots of luggage, however.
Perpignan–Rivesaltes Airport is an excellent gateway for exploring the eastern Pyrenees and, in the winter, nearby excellent ski resorts. Travel around the region can be best done with a hire car.
